Privacy Policy
What personal data we process, for what purpose, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.
Last updated: July 10, 2026
1. Data controller
The controller processing your personal data in connection with this website is:
- Ing. René Kyžňanský, trading as Ing. René Kyžňanský - WeAreBetterway
- Place of business: Agátová 1314/11, Veľké Zálužie, Slovak Republic
- Company ID (IČO): 57569410
- Registration: District Office Nitra (Okresný úrad Nitra), trade register no.: 430-74043
- Email: info@renlex.sk
(referred to below as the "Controller" or "we")
2. What personal data we process
We process personal data to the extent you provide it to us, or that arises from your visit to the site:
- Contact form: name, email address, project type, message, communication language, and IP address (used to limit the number of submissions and protect against abuse of the form).
- Web development questionnaire: if you select the "Web Development" service, you may optionally answer additional questions about your project (e.g. target audience, goal of the site, style preferences). This data relates to your project, not to you personally.
- Technical data: language preference (only if you consent via the cookie banner) and standard server logs (e.g. IP address, request time) arising from the operation of the web hosting.
We do not use any payment data or special categories of personal data (e.g. health data), and we do not process personal data belonging to children.
3. Purpose and legal basis
- Handling your inquiry and preparing a quote. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps taken at your request, or performance of a contract if the inquiry results in an engagement).
- Protecting the form against abuse (limiting submissions from a single IP address, spam prevention). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website).
- Remembering your language preference. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent via the cookie banner; see the Cookies section below).
- Complying with legal obligations (e.g. accounting and tax records, if the inquiry results in a paid engagement). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
4. Retention period
Contact-form data (including any web development questionnaire answers) is retained for 12 months from the date of submission, after which it is automatically and permanently deleted, unless the inquiry results in an active engagement.
If an inquiry develops into an actual paid engagement, related records (e.g. invoices, contractual correspondence) are retained separately for the period required by applicable law: in particular the Slovak Accounting Act, which generally requires accounting documents to be archived for 10 years.
5. Recipients of data
Only people who need your data to handle your inquiry have access to it. The following processors also process, or have technical access to, your data:
- Websupport, s.r.o.: provider of the web hosting, database, and email server this site runs on.
- Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry): every page load downloads font files used in the site's design from this service, which typically involves sending your IP address to this provider. The legal basis is legitimate interest in a consistent visual design (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not sell or rent your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
6. International transfers
All services listed above (hosting, database, email) are operated by a provider based in the Slovak Republic, and data is physically stored on servers within the European Union. Your personal data is not transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA.
7. Data security
The site is available exclusively over a secure connection (HTTPS). The form is protected against request forgery (CSRF protection), automated abuse, and excessive submissions from a single IP address.
8. Your rights
Regarding the processing of your personal data, you have the right to:
- access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR),
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
- request erasure ("the right to be forgotten", Art. 17 GDPR),
- request restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR),
- withdraw any consent given (e.g. to remembering your language) at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
You can exercise these rights by emailing info@renlex.sk. We will respond to your request without undue delay, and no later than within one month.
10. Contact and supervisory authority
If you have questions about how we process your personal data, contact us at info@renlex.sk.
If you believe our processing of your personal data breaches GDPR or other applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
